About me
Welcome to my ceramics world! You'll find a record of some of my work here, my sporadic blog, and in time, my shop. Small steps. Please visit me often to see what I'm up to next!
At the age of 50, I discovered what I want to be when I grow up - a ceramic artist. I have always loved to play in the mud. In the 1970s Santa brought me a "pottery wheel" for Christmas. 40 years later, I became an adult student of first, Chad Hartwig, and then, Zach Tate.

I made functional ware in our backyard shed until the fall of 2018, when I convinced a friend to build a small wheel so that I could work in the house during the winter. And, as they say, the rest is history.
The backyard shed is now a year-round studio. I make small porcelain wares featuring dynamic glazes and minute detail work that quiets the noise and makes time fall away as you focus on the tiny magnificence, and realize... it really is about the small things in life.
Come see me, and the tiny wheel, at Michiana Pottery Tour, in my online shop, and other various locations in Indiana.
God can do anything, you know - far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! ~Ephesians 3:20
A dear friend shared something with me that I would like to share with you: It is always the little things in life that can be most appreciated. We can be happy for the mountain tops we summit in our lives but sometimes it is the smile, thank you, kind words, or card that can make all the difference in the world to us or someone else. Do not forget, that life is not full of BIG moments all the time but those precious small moments that can be a true blessing.
"Do your little bit of GOOD where you are: It's those little bits of GOOD put together that overwhelm the world." Desmond Tutu
